ABOUT

Ricoh Virtual Workplace is a solution that allows you to reproduce any space in a virtual environment and collaborate there.
This will enable us to communicate freely with people who are physically separated from each other on a virtual worksite by feeling human presence, natural operations, sharing two and three-dimensional information, high-quality visuals, and linking with various types of data.
We make it possible to work in a new way, “more productive than reality”.

Ricoh Virtual Workplace is a solution created by the internal entrepreneur team of TRIBUS (formerly RICOH ACCELERATOR 2019), a program that supports the growth of startup companies and entrepreneurs both inside and outside the company, with the aim of creating new businesses. We develop solutions and offer pilot versions to provide services.

Architecture/Construction

In the construction industry, there are frequent occasions when many different parties, including the ordering party, the designer, the contractor, and the subcontractor, make decisions while communicating with each other.
At the Ricoh Virtual Workplace, the three-dimensional data that you typically use appears in virtual space and can be discussed while looking at the same data.”
It enables multiple stakeholders to simultaneously confirm from every angle with the actual sensation of being present at buildings and construction sites in architecture and civil engineering, contributing to quality and safety assurance, remote site work, and digital transformation (DX).

Workplace

Smooth team communication is essential in any office, and at Ricoh Virtual Workplace, you can use VR technology to share a virtual space and communicate with your team as if you were physically present, even when you’re away.
It can also be used for brainstorming meetings, where ideas can be shared while sharing tags by utilizing high interactivity, screen sharing where ideas can be shared with each other, and voice input functions.
Since the space itself can be saved and restored, it can be used as a team-specific project room to start discussing from the last time.
